Education JWG

The Education Technical Working Group (ETWG) is a collaborative group comprised of various stakeholders within the education sector in Ethiopia. Their main objective is to enhance the development of the education sector. This is achieved through the implementation of the ESDP VI, a strategic plan that is in line with both national and global development goals.
The ETWG provides a mechanism for joint review, planning, and budgeting within the education sector. This collaborative process results in a sector plan and key performance indicators, both of which are based on the ESDP VI.
In addition to these roles, the ETWG also serves as the Local Education Group for the Global Partnership for Education. In this capacity, they are responsible for discussing and endorsing all GPE documents and decisions that are relevant to Ethiopia. This ensures that Ethiopia’s educational policies and practices are in alignment with global standards and expectations.
