Tigist, who is a dedicated midwife from the Afar region, is featured in this video story. Inspired by witnessing the tragic loss of mothers during childbirth in her community, Tigist was driven to pursue a career in midwifery to make a difference. With the support of a project that provided a mobile ultrasound machine, she can now reach pregnant women directly at their homes, offering essential care to those who would otherwise struggle to travel the long distances to health facilities.
