DPG Pooled Fund Project
The DPG Pooled Fund project is a strategic tool supporting a policy level dialogue between the GoE and DPG members. The pooled fund project provides additional collective means to both the DPG, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD). In doing so it actively contributes to the implementation of joint policy level decisions.
The DPG Pooled Fund is the mechanism supporting DPG members joint efforts towards better coordination and priority alignment among them and with the government of Ethiopia. It actively contributes to improved aid effectiveness. This mechanism is financially supported by DPG members. The financial resources are used to support a fully fledged and dedicated secretariat as well as a set of targeted activities of strategic importance for a productive GoE-DP dialogue. These activities include support to the MoF, to, for example, develop and manage the AMP (Aid Monitoring Platform), the MoPD to conduct/commission strategic studies to facilitate the implementation of national development plans and reinforce institutional capacity in the sectors of data production, M&E, reporting and communication/information dissemination.
The DPG Pooled Fund project is jointly managed and implemented by Development Partners Group, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Planning and Development through the Steering Committee.
