A Dedicated Mother and Entrepreneur: Azeb’s Story

Discovering the GIZ-implemented WIDU programme, a platform designed to empower entrepreneurs, Azeb seized the opportunity to expand her business. Through a granted fund and business coaching, she was able to scale up her small business, transforming discarded materials into high-quality handbags by upcycling fabric scraps and other unused resources.

“I believe that WIDU offers a valuable platform for startups, small business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs to enhance their skills and generate a sustainable income,” Azeb shared.

After joining the GIZ programme, she expanded her team by hiring three employees and investing in new machinery. Watch as she shares her inspiring journey with WIDU from hobbyist to business owner.

The WIDU programme is implemented on behalf of the German Government.
