GTP I
The GTP, formulated with inputs from various stakeholders, aims to maintain this growth, improve public services, and emphasize agricultural and rural development, industry, infrastructure, social and human development, and good governance. It considers two growth scenarios: maintaining the previous five-year average GDP growth rate, and doubling the GDP and Agricultural Value Added by 2014/15. Implementation of the GTP will require significant mobilization of domestic financial and human resources, particularly for infrastructure development. The Ethiopian government is committed to eradicating poverty through sustained economic growth, guided by strategies and plans such as the Plan for Accelerated and Sustained Development to End Poverty (PASDEP) and the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP).
