The 10 Year Development Plan

Ethiopia’s ten-year development plan ambitiously aims to transform Ethiopia into an “African Beacon of Prosperity”. This transformation is to be achieved by addressing the country’s macroeconomic, sectoral, and structural challenges. The plan outlines the national development vision, objectives, strategic pillars, and key priority areas, aligning them with the Sustainable Development Goals and other global and regional commitments. Furthermore, the document underscores the crucial role of the private sector and emphasizes the promotion of productivity and competitiveness. It also highlights the importance of harnessing the demographic dividend, creating quality and efficient infrastructure, building strong and inclusive institutions, and ensuring peace, justice, and regional integration.
